This site is operated by Fort Engineering Ltd. We’re a steel doors and windows manufacturer, and we sit behind a portfolio of customer brands rather than selling direct. The information published here is intended for architects, specifiers, contractors, and procurement teams who want to understand who builds the product before they put it on a drawing.
Please read these terms carefully before you use the site. By using it, you confirm that you accept them and agree to comply with them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
These terms cover use of the website and the resources we publish on it (including architect downloads). They aren’t supply terms or sales terms. Those sit with the customer brand fulfilling your order.

About these terms.
These terms apply to your use of this website, including any architect resources, CAD libraries, BIM objects, NBS specifications, CPD material, news articles, press releases, and any other content we publish on it.
By using the site you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don’t agree, you must stop using the site.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when we last changed them. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated version. We’d recommend you check back occasionally if you rely on anything in here.

Acceptable use
Using the site.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access this site for your personal use or for legitimate business use – reviewing manufacturer credentials, downloading architect resources for live projects, reading certification information, finding a customer brand to buy from.
By using the site you agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that breaches applicable UK or international law
- Use the site to send, knowingly receive, upload, or distribute material that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or obscene
- Knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, trojans, worms, spyware, or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server on which the site is stored, or any server, computer, or database connected to it
- Attack the site via a denial-of-service attack or distributed denial-of-service attack
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise systematically extract content for republication, resale, or commercial use without our written permission. Reasonable use by legitimate search-engine indexers is fine

What this site is, and isn’t
Manufacturer information
and customer brands.
This is a manufacturer information site. Fort Engineering Ltd makes steel doors, steel windows, safe rooms, and shopfront systems – but you can’t buy any of them on this website.
Sales are handled by our customer brands, listed on the where to buy page. Each brand has its own audience, its own pricing, its own commercial terms, and its own purchase process. When you place an order with one of them, your contract is with that brand – not with Fort Engineering Ltd directly.
Information on this site about products, capabilities, certifications, and lead times is published in good faith and we make reasonable effort to keep it accurate. That said:
- Product specifications, certifications, and standards evolve. We update the site, but there can be a lag
- What we publish here describes typical configurations. The actual product supplied through a customer brand may vary depending on the project specification, the certification scope required, and the brand’s own product range
- Technical drawings, CAD content, BIM objects, and dimensions are indicative unless explicitly confirmed in writing by a customer brand against a specific project
Before issuing a final specification, always confirm details with the customer brand handling the order. We can’t accept responsibility for design decisions based solely on information taken from this site without that confirmation.

Ownership and use
Our intellectual property.
We (or our licensors) own all intellectual property rights in this site and the content published on it. That includes the text, photography, illustrations, page layouts, brand marks, logos, video, and any underlying code or design work we’ve commissioned.
You may:
- Browse the site and print or download individual pages for personal reference or for use on a project you’re legitimately working on
- Share links to our pages
- Reference our content with proper attribution in editorial, academic, or specification work
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- Republish, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from our content
- Sell, resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit our content
- Use our brand marks, photography, or other identifying material in your own marketing

Third-party marks
Trade marks of third parties referenced on this site – including LPS 1175, LPCB, PAS 24, BSI Kitemark, Secured by Design, ISO 9001, and any customer brand marks – belong to their respective owners. Where they appear, they’re used to identify the relevant standard, accreditation, or affiliate, and that doesn’t grant anyone else a licence to use them.

Specifier downloads
Architect resources – CAD, BIM
and NBS files.
Our architects section publishes downloadable resources for specification work, including the CAD library, BIM objects, NBS specifications, and CPD content. These files are intended for qualified architects, specifiers, M&E consultants, building services engineers, and contractors working on real projects.
By downloading or otherwise accessing these files, you agree to a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence on the following terms:
- You may use the files for design, specification, and procurement work on genuine architectural and construction projects
- You may incorporate the files into your own design documents, models, and specifications for those projects
- You may share the files internally within your practice, design team, or project team to the extent reasonably necessary to deliver the project
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicence, or share the files outside the project team you’re working with
- Publish the files on any other website, library, BIM repository, or content platform
- Claim the files as your own work or remove any embedded attribution, metadata, or watermarks
- Modify the files in ways that misrepresent the underlying product (geometry tweaks for design intent are fine, fabricated performance claims are not)
- Use the files to design, fabricate, or supply competing products
Accuracy and currency
CAD, BIM, and NBS files describe typical product configurations at the time of publication. Real-world products may vary depending on customer-brand range, project specification, and current certification scope. Before issuing a tender package or construction information based on our files, confirm the detail with the customer brand who will fulfil the order.
We reserve the right to withdraw, update, or revise any file at any time. The version you’ve downloaded may not be the most current – check back for updates if your project drawings haven’t yet been issued for construction.

These terms, their subject matter, and their formation are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms.
