This page describes how we use cookies on fortengineering.co.uk, the manufacturer site. The customer-facing sales brands operate their own websites and have their own policies (see section 5).

No cookies. None.

We don’t use cookies on this website. Not for analytics, not for marketing, not for tracking, and nothing third-party either. That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner here, and that’s why this page is shorter than most.

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Almost every site you visit uses them.

Some cookies are technically necessary. They remember that you’ve logged in, or that you’ve filled half a form. Most are not. They measure how you use the site, build a profile, target you with ads, or pass information about you to other companies.

Cookies are the main reason almost every website now opens with a banner asking your permission before you can read anything.

None. We built it that way on purpose.

That means:

• No analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Hotjar, no anything else.
• No advertising or marketing cookies.
• No social media pixels.
• No third-party embeds that quietly drop tracking.
• No “strictly necessary” cookies, because the site doesn’t ask anything of you that would need them.

We don’t need to know how many people read which page badly enough to track them to find out. If you sent us a message and want to know if we saw it, the answer is whether we replied.

This site links out to the four customer brands – Fort Premium Doors, Magnificent Security, Sash Vault, and Fort Security Doors – and to external organisations such as certification bodies, trade associations, and architectural specifiers.

Those are separate websites operated by separate companies. They have their own cookie policies and most of them do use cookies. The choice we’ve made for fortengineering.co.uk doesn’t extend to them. Once you click through, their rules apply, and you’ll probably see a cookie banner.

If we ever change our approach to cookies, we’ll update this page first and the date at the top will reflect the change. Anything that introduces tracking of any kind would also be flagged elsewhere on the site.

We have no current plans to change.
